Your Measurement Guide
Accurate measurements ensure a perfect fit. Use a soft measuring tape and have someone assist you where possible. Measure over light, well-fitted clothing.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the ground. Breathe normally — do not pull the tape tight.
Tip: Wear a well-fitted bra when taking this measurement.
Waist
Measure around your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso, usually about 2–3 cm above your navel.
Tip: Bend to the side; the crease that forms is your natural waistline.
Hip
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, approximately 20–23 cm below your natural waist. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
Tip: Stand with your feet together for an accurate hip measurement.
Shoulder Width
Measure across the back from the outer edge of one shoulder to the other, following the natural curve of your shoulders.
Tip: Have someone help you take this measurement for accuracy.
Sleeve Length
With your arm slightly bent, measure from the top of your shoulder seam down the outer arm to your wrist bone.
Tip: A slight bend in the elbow gives you the truest sleeve length for a fitted garment.
Length
Measure from the top of your shoulder (at the base of the neck) straight down to where you would like the garment to end.
Tip: Specify the desired length clearly — knee, midi, or floor-length — when filling the MTM enquiry form.
